CHAPTER 13
DELILAH
He carried me from the bed to the bathroom. Carried me. Me! I didnât think I would ever get used to such a thing. Still, I was proud of myself. I kept my negative words to myself and let him have his moment.
We had laid there in the aftermath of⦠of whatever that was, for a long while, clinging to one another like a lifeline. At least, that was how it felt to me. He had kept his word, making me orgasm until I had forgotten everything except his name. His name, which I did, in fact, scream at the top of my lungs. I blushed at the memory.
He was heavy on top of me, but not in an unwelcome kind of way. In a way that made me feel safe and protected. Everything I had needed as I came down from those pleasure-filled heights. I had not known they existed. Not in the slightest.
I sat on the bathroom counter, where he had left me as he filled the giant tub full of steaming water fragrant with some kind of bath salts. He worked diligently, getting everything prepared. For a moment, I wondered how many other women he had done this very same thing for, but I quickly shook the thought from my head. It didnât matter. He had been honest with me, letting me know he did not have a submissive. There was no one but me. After everything we had talked about, after all we had done, he had earned that much trust from me.
âCome here, beautiful woman. Let me bathe you.â He helped me from the counter, immediately pulling me in for a kiss. His lips were addictive. I could not get enough of him.
âI could kiss you for hours,â I sighed as our lips parted.
âBet, darling. Fucking bet.â He took my hand, leading me to the bath, and helped me to step into the steaming water. I situated myself to lie back, but his hand on my upper back stopped me. âScooch forward, love.â
That word. Heâd used it a few times, but I had no intention of giving any undue merit to that word, knowing that it was like any other of the little pet names he used for me. No use reading into it further.
He slid into the bath behind me, instantly making me worry the bathwater would slosh over the sides with our combined mass. I tried to make myself smaller as he slid a leg on either side of my body and pulled me back into his chest.
âRelax,â he soothed, his voice as calm and as gentle as his touch.
âHow am I supposed to relax when the water is about to splash over the edges?â I chuckled, keeping my arms crossed over my chest.
âFirst of all, who cares? Thatâs what towels are for. Second, stop covering yourself.â The whispered last words he spoke against the shell of my ear made me shiver. âI have seen, kissed, and licked every inch of that beautiful skin.
